We’ve got one week left in the NBA regular season, and streaming for schedule is more important than ever. The distribution of games is extremely uneven this week, and it’s important to recognize that as you plan your championship winning strategy.
Monday - 2 Games
Tuesday - 10 Games
Wednesday - 10 Games
Thursday - 5 Games
Friday - 15 Games
Saturday - 0 Games
Sunday - 15 Games
Ending the week with 15-0-15 game days eliminates all forms of streaming on the weekend, and we’re essentially looking at Monday-Thursday for our stream plan with semi high volume game days on Tuesday & Wednesday as well. Adding a player on Monday guarantees they will play 4 games this week, and despite only 4 teams playing, there is a plethora of serviceable stream options.
Every team that plays Monday also plays Wednesday, Friday & Sunday, except Detroit, which plays Thursday, Friday & Saturday.
If you’re looking to stream on Monday, I will cover my top 11 stream options, all rostered in <35% of Yahoo leagues, with a brief summary of what you can expect.
Adem Bona -
Foul trouble on Saturday limited Bona to one of his worst games since entering the starting lineup. The line was still serviceable, and I don’t expect the minutes to stay low.
Bona has been a top 25 player over the last month and I don’t see why that will change. Easiest pickup on the board and has been a no-brainer add for the last several games.
Davion Mitchell -
Consistent big minutes & steady production. Should have been rostered for the last several games and you know what you’re going to get out of him at this point. Mitchell provides strong assists & steals in the traditional point guard mold.
Jared Butler -
Butler is generally not a great real life player which poses challenges for consistent fantasy production. The 76ers have a few different options they can turn to, and that’s evidenced by Butler’s inconsistent trend of minutes. Regardless, he’s played 30+ minutes in back to back games and the floor is high enough to not completely kill you in his worst-case scenario.
Guerschon Yabusele -
Yabusele is another 76ers player in the basket of being hard to trust consistently with random rests and inconsistent playing time. He’s weirdly played 35+ minutes in his last 2 games with great production. You could make the case that he’s the best stream option on the board, and I wouldn’t argue with you.
Pelle Larsson -
Larsson is the flavor of the month in the Miami rotation and has received 30+ minutes in 4/5 games since entering the starting lineup, including a season high 39 minutes on Saturday. Despite this large role increase, Larsson is still barely inside the top 200 of 9cat rankings through this stretch.
There’s been a solid mix of booms and busts in his game log, but it seems like the minutes floor is there to make do on some level of fantasy success.
Justin Edwards -
Edwards is questionable for Monday, and his status should be monitored before wasting an add. The hot shooting & top 75 production we saw throughout the majority of March has quickly faded away. The role is still consistent enough to be considered as a “roll of the dice” option.
Lonnie Walker -
Lonnie Walker is just another fringe option in the Philadelphia backcourt and is coming off of one of his best games of the season on a season high in minutes Saturday night.
I have little to no faith in trusting his production and prefer Jared Butler, but Walker’s role might be somewhat consistent in the final 4 games of the season as Philadelphia desperately tries to lose every game.
Keon Ellis -
Keon Ellis is still starting over Malik Monk, but the minutes are quickly fading away. I wouldn’t be surprised if he’s benched on Monday. The majority of his value comes from steals, with good blocks for a guard, and he occasionally gets hot from behind the arc. His fringe value has been bounced back and forth all season and has been a hard one to read for nightly fantasy value.
Tim Hardaway -
Hardaway was great in the absence of Cade Cunningham, but now Cade is back. Tobias Harris is questionable again for Monday, which boosts Hardaway to a minor degree. He will give you points & threes and don’t expect much else.
Nikola Jovic -
Jovic has been out with a broken hand since February. There usually isn’t a ramp up period required at all for that type of injury. This rotation is hard to predict and is constantly changing, and the fear of the unknown makes for a tough stream decision if he’s active. We know the output that Jovic is capable of, and it’s a risk I’m willing to take in some cases if you’re looking for a stream on this 2 game day.
Isaiah Stewart -
Jalen Duren is questionable for Monday after missing Saturday. Stewart started in his place on Saturday with his best line of the season in 35 minutes. If Duren misses again, Stewart would shoot to the top of the list as my favorite option.
